Container Loading Calculator

1. Cartons & order

Carton units: internal math stays metric
Carton L (cm) W (cm) H (cm) Wt (kg) Qty Remove
Add every different carton size in your shipment.

Special equipment joins the plan only when ticked; leave unticked for normal dry cartons.

How to find a reference freight rate (2 steps)
1. Open Searates → pick your route and container type, read the USD per-container rate.
2. Paste the rates for the types you can actually book into the fields above.
Rates don't auto-fill: indices are guidance, not final quotes.

Mixed sizes estimated by CBM (efficiency-weighted); single size stays exact.

2. Container comparison

Cartons per container, if each carton size is packed alone
Carton CBM each CBM total
Single-type usage of each container (your carton mix)
Container Est. usable CBM Max payload Vol util Ctrs (vol) Ctrs (wt)

* = special equipment; joins the recommended plan only when ticked in section 1.

Max payload = max gross (30,480 kg standard; ~34,000 kg flat-rack) − empty weight; 40ft/45ft boxes weigh more when empty.

Recommended loading plan (best combination)
Total shipment:

Cartons pack in whole units; usable volume is always below container volume.
