These terms cover everything you buy or order through flamingfield.com. Plain language on purpose: if any wording is unclear, ask us before you pay and we will clarify in writing.
1. Who we are
Flaming Field Consultancy ("Flaming Field", "we", "us"), a sourcing and product-development consultancy based in Hong Kong.
Contact and registered correspondence address: Flat B, 39/F, Block 6, La Cite Noble, Tseung Kwan O, N.T., Hong Kong · tonyma@flamingfield.com · +852 9860 7269.
We are an independent entity. We are paid by you, to protect your side of the table. We take no commissions, kickbacks, or referral fees from factories or agents.

3. Orders and payment
- Payments run through Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Prices are shown before checkout. Where a list price and a current price differ, you pay the current price shown at checkout.
- After payment you land on a confirmation page with next steps, and Tony emails you within one business day to kick off.
- Subscriptions: the Weekly Intelligence Memo renews automatically each month on the day you first paid, until you cancel.
- Cancelling a subscription: email us or use the cancellation link in any memo. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- We give at least 14 days' notice by email before any price change takes effect for your renewal.
4. Licenses
- Digital products: you may use, edit, and reuse the files inside your own business, including with your own factories and suppliers. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute the files as templates or as a competing product.
- Deliverables from services: the findings and documents we produce for you are for your project use. Our underlying frameworks, templates, and methodologies remain ours.
- Your IP stays yours. Your specs, drawings, and product ideas remain your property. We treat them as confidential by default; a mutual NDA is available on request before any engagement.
5. What an audit is (and is not)
An audit is professional advisory work. It combines the information you provide with desktop research and, where purchased, physical verification.
- It gives you a structured risk read and specific recommendations.
- It is not a guarantee that a factory will perform, that a product will certify, or that a shipment will pass. Manufacturing always carries execution risk.
- Our findings depend on the accuracy of what you share. If material information is withheld, the audit's value is limited and fees remain earned for work performed.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Refunds follow our Refund Policy. In short: full refund on services before kickoff, pro-rata if cancelled mid-work, final once the deliverable is delivered; digital products are refundable until downloaded. Subscriptions: cancel any time and billing stops at the end of the current period; weekly issues already delivered in a paid period are not partially refunded.
7. Confidentiality and conduct
- We keep your commercial information confidential and use it only to run your engagement.
- We act within anti-bribery and anti-corruption expectations on both sides. We do not pay factory staff to skew results, and we report any request to do so.
- You confirm that materials you send us (specs, artwork, brands) are yours to use.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Hong Kong law:
- Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you actually paid us for the service the claim relates to.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses: lost profits, lost opportunities, production delays, or third-party claims.
- Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. If something goes wrong, email us first: we commit to a good-faith resolution discussion within 30 days. If that fails, the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction.
10. Two linked policies
Privacy Notice (how we handle personal data) and Refund Policy form part of these terms.
We may update these terms as the product line grows; the date above changes when we do, and the version that applied at your purchase governs your order.
